About the event
Riverlights, Maitland’s flagship multicultural festival, will return in October 2025 with a full week of vibrant community events and cultural celebrations.
The Week of Riverlights will take place from Tuesday 7 October to Friday 10 October, featuring a range of cultural workshops, performances and activities across the city. This lead-up sets the stage for the main event, the Maitland Riverlights festival, which will be held on Saturday 11 October from 2pm to 9pm at The Levee, Central Maitland.
Riverlights is truly a diverse and colourful celebration of culture through interactive stalls, dance, food, music and arts.
This event really shines at night, with the popular festival parade and magical lantern flotilla featured on the Hunter River, an unforgettable experience.
